Pele, whose complete name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento, died on Thursday (29/12/2022) afternoon at 15:27 on the spot or Friday (31/12/2022) morning WIB.


He breathed his last at the age of 82 at Albert Einstein Hospital, Sao Paulo, Brazil.


Before he died, Pele underwent intense hospitalization for about a month and tried to challenge colon cancer that he had been suffering from since September 2021.


In addition, the Brazilian national team legend was attacked by other diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure.


The Albert Einstein Hospital faction explained that Pele died "due to some organ inadequacy due to changes in colon cancer related to his initial clinical state."
