AC Milan vs Chelsea: Stefano Pioli wants revenge for the defeat at Stamford Bridge

Banaspati -- AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has ambitions to avenge the defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Pioli also hopes that his players will perform optimally in the second meeting later.

As is known, AC Milan will host Chelsea at the San Siro Stadium, Italy, Wednesday (12/10/2022) early morning hrs. Pioli mentioned how important the match was for the two teams in order to improve their ranking on the Group E standings.

"Tomorrow's match is very valuable both for the opponent and also for our path," Pioli said, quoted by Milan News, Monday (10/10/2022).

This is AC Milan's second meeting with Chelsea in the Group E phase. In the first leg, the Rossoneri suffered a crushing 0-3 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Even so, currently Pioli feels optimistic that AC Milan can achieve positive results. Because, they will appear in front of their own supporters who will be additional capital.

"It's great to play in front of our fans. They give us great support, they are an additional weapon for us," he said.

The Italian coach is ambitious to bring AC Milan to win over Chelsea. He wants to prove that the Rossoneri can bounce back from the defeat in the first leg.

"We want to prove that defeat (in the first leg) is just an episode. We were disappointed with the performance in London. We have to learn from our mistakes and do better."

For your information, AC Milan is currently in third position on the standings board in Group E. They have the same points as Chelsea who are in second place, namely four points. Therefore, victory becomes very important for the Rossoneri and the Blues – Chelsea's nickname. While the leader of the standings is occupied by RB Salzburg with five points.
